Combined Federal Campaign

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is the only authorized solicitation of federal employees in their workplace on behalf of approved charitable organizations. The CFC began in the early 1960s to coordinate the fundraising efforts of various charitable organizations so that the Federal donor would only be solicited once in the workplace and have the opportunity to make charitable contributions through payroll deduction.
Community Health Charities of New England participates in six (6) CFCs in New England covering all six (6) states. There are two in Connecticut covering the entire state, one in Rhode Island (covering RI and Southeastern MA), two in Massachusetts (covering the rest of the state) and one in Northern New England (covering NH, VT and Southern ME). Most CHCofNE agencies participate in these CFCs and have a unique 5 digit code which donors can use to designate contributions to the agencies.
Community Health Charities of New England’s code # is 19901 which a federal employee uses to donate to our federation. Please check your local CFC brochure to review the list of participating charities. You may find your charity of choice under Community Health Charities of New England in the Local Organizations section of the brochure. When completing the pledge form, be sure to use the correct code for the charity you wish to support.
For a listing of the code numbers for our National charities, please see the listing for Community Health Charities under the National/International section of the brochure.
